Barcelona: Day 7

Nick and I left Rose in charge of the kids while Rick headed into work today. We visited Casa Batlló which is another one of Gaudí's designs but this time, an apartment building. It was another beautiful place where every detail had been thought out by Gaudí (or at least, according to the audio guided tour we listened to). We then spent a lot of time wandering around the Gothic Quarter and La Rambla before heading back to the apartment.
Rick is off to work while we're on the opposite platform off to sight-see

Barcelona: Day 6

We went to Park Güell this afternoon and had a fun time walking around and exploring the Gaudí creation. It was a bit cooler today than it has been the whole week and the sun didn't make much of an appearance but at least it's not like Minnesota!
Our boys are difficult to photograph with smiles and looking at the camera

Another example of what they do when we ask them to look at the camera and say "Cheese"

Barcelona: Day 4 & 5

Nick arrived on Friday and we already have a drastic improvement in pictures. We didn't do much on Friday since Nick arrived around lunch time. But we managed to get into the city and let the boys do some pigeon chasing in Plaza de Catalunya before having an ice cream.

On Saturday, Nick and I were able to tour Basílica de la Sagrada Família while Rick and Rose took the boys down to the harbor. Unfortunately, Nick's camera memory card malfunctioned at the beginning of our visit so we only have a few high quality pictures before we had to revert to the iPod camera again. The visit was well worth the 23 Euros and hey, we're contributing to the building of the church!

Barcelona: Day 3

Rick took the day off from work so we had a fun day exploring the city. We walked through some of the small alleys of Barri Gotic and made our way down to the seaside to have lunch. We got to play on the beach for a little while and then headed over to one of the marinas to see the sailboat that Rick sailed across the Atlantic on. In all, a beautiful day and the boys fell asleep on the bus ride back to the apartment.
Nick arrives on Friday so expect better pictures soon!

Barcelona: Day 2

We didn't do much today but here are some pics anyway.
Starting out the day with chocolate croissants that Cal and Grandpa got in the morning

"Cheese!"

They are shouting "Supermom!" because I'd just been saving them from sharks

It's hard to see here but there is a small heron in this tiny little pond. He seems to be a regular.
