As Nick said in a previous post, I was dying to get out of the hospital. There were days that the furthest I'd walk is from my hospital bed to the bathroom. Pretty depressing. So I'm really happy to be home even though it's been a scary transition to be completely in charge of our wee boy. You should see how freaked out we (read: me) get about the temperature in the flat and if we have enough or too many blankets on Cal. He is doing well so far despite keeping his parents up all night.
It was a gorgeous day here today so we took Cal for a 20 minute walk outside (scary!). He slept through the whole walk.

You guys look GREAT! It's like being born all over again, to leave the hospital and enter the world... you've done such an amazing job getting here!
So glad to hear you guys are home. The beginning part is hard, especially with almost no sleep. But it gets better! Hang in there! :-)
Take things one small step at a time, Sam. It's good you got out for a walk, try to do it everyday for yourself and Calvin! the fresh air will do you both good. You're doing an AMAZING job!!!!
Hello Nick and Sam. We saw grandma Rose and grandpa Rick last night at a sailing banquet and they are both beaming when they speak of Calvin (well, all right, truth be told, Rose beams and Rick smirks). Anyways, as daunting as all of this must be for you, know that the rest of the world can see that you are doing an amazing job and you are, and will continue to be, terrific parents.

I have been checking up on little Calvin ever since he was born. So glad that you guys are doing so well. Maybe we will get to see you all over Christmas. Take care!
